The Cabazon Band of Mission Indians of California is planning a December opening for its new $200 million casino complex.
The 100,000-square-foot Fantasy Springs Resort Casino & Special Events Center features 2,000 slot machines, table games, a bingo hall, a 12-story, 250-room hotel, restaurants and other amenities. The tribe hopes to attract meetings with a convention center space.
The facility is seen as a competitor to the $250 million casino resort being opened by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians this week.
