The Morongo Band of Mission Indians will debut its $250 million casino resort with two days of star-studded events.
On Wednesday, chairman Maurice Lyons will be joined by "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno and Grammy-award winning musician Santana for the "Celebration of Tribal Sovereignty." The event, to take place in a huge outdoor tent, pays respect to the tribe's history but with a Hollywood feel.
On Thursday, musical group Destiny�s Child and other celebrities will provide entertainment for casino guests. Thousands of people are expected to attend.
