The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut has filed suit against a former employee accused of threatening to release confidential information about the tribe's operation unless he was paid "at least seven figures."
The tribe has obtained a temporary restraining order against Brad Beecher and his wife, The Hartford Courant reported. Beecher used to be a tribal gaming commission investigator but was reassigned to the tribe's athletic regulation department.
According to the tribe, Beecher obtained privileged information about the tribe. He, or his wife, then threatened to give it to the press, the tribe claims.
