The Cowlitz Tribe of Washington is trying to spread the word about its plans for a casino resort.
The tribe took out a full-page newspaper ad to describe the project. The resort would include a 160,000-square-foot casino, 210,000 square feet of retail space, 150,000 square feet of convention and entertainment buildings, a 250-room hotel, an RV park, offices and up to 25 homes.
The complex would be located on 152 acres of the tribe's initial reservation. The tribe qualifies for an initial reservation because it is newly recognized.
The tribe has partnered with the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut.
