The Cachil Dehe Band of Wintun Indians is suing the state of California to obtain licenses for more slot machines.
Compacts signed by California tribes limit each to 2,000 machines. But there is a dispute over the total number of slots allowed.
The tribe currently operates 773 machines and wants to offer more than 1,000. But the lawsuit says the state only allowed 73 additional machines.
