The Mohegan Tribe in Connecticut is interested in acquiring a racetrack in Pennsylvania that is eligible for slot machines.
The tribe was contacted about purchasing The Downs at Pocono. The facility is one of 14 sites that can offer slot machines under new state legislation.
The Delaware Tribe and Delaware Nation, both of Oklahoma, want gaming rights in Pennsylvania but were rebuffed by Gov. Ed Rendell (D).
