The Iowa Tribe is in talks for a casino near downtown Wichita, Kansas, according to news reports.
The tribe, which has land in Kansas and Nebraska, is working with a former mayor of Wichita. Discussions are very preliminary but some are already opposing the idea.
Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius (D) is currently negotiating an urban casino with the Kickapoo Tribe and Sac and Fox Tribe.
