The Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma is asking the city of Shawnee to enter into a municipal services agreement for a proposed casino.
The tribe needs water services to the facility. The tribe says it will pay a monthly fee, plus a premium, for the water. The tribe would also pay $50,000 up front.
The 125,000-square-foot casino will employ 385 people, the tribe says.
