More than 1,500 people turned out on Monday for the Morongo Band of Mission Indians' casino job fair.
Even more job-seekers are expected today as the tribe continues to look for new employees.
The tribe is hiring 1,000 people for its $250 million casino, hotel and spa that will open in November.
California tribes employed more than 44,000 people at the end of June, a 17 percent increase from the year prior. Tribal employment is one of the fastest growing sectors in the state.
