The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe of Nevada is seeking proposals to develop a small casino, a hotel, a conference center and other facilities on Pyramid Lake.
Chairwoman Bonnie Akaka-Smith said the tribe wants to attract tourists to the reservation and keep them there. She said the tribe is looking at a modest-sized resort.
The tribe currently derives revenues from fishing permits and taxes imposes on mining activities and other businesses.
