The Poarch Band of Creek Indians has completed studies on a possible casino in Atmore, Alabama.
The studies show the area could support a casino with 40,000 square-feet, a 250-room hotel and other amenities. But the tribal council hasn't moved to approve any sort of development.
The tribe currently runs a bingo hall. Chairman Eddie Tullis wants to negotiate a Class III compact to expand the tribe's operations.
