The following is the text of a media advisory the FBI distributed on June 28.
WHAT: Media briefing to address Indian Country Crime prevention and the establishment of the Indian Gaming Working Group and the proactive measures in place to investigate this $15 billion gaming problem.

WHEN: June 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m.
DETAILS: Assistant Director Joseph Lewis and members of the Criminal Investigative Division's Indian Country/ Special Jurisdiction Unit will host an on-the-record briefing on Indian gambling and crimes on Indian reservations and the pro-active initiatives in place to investigate and prevent such crimes. Discussion will focus on the types of crimes and how the federal Indian Gaming Working Group and other agencies investigate these crimes. Representatives from the National Indian Gaming Commission, Department of Interior, Internal Revenue Services, Department of Treasury, Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Department of Justice will be in attendance.
**All interested members of the media should enter the 10th Street entrance to FBI Headquarters, just north of Pennsylvania Avenue, starting at 10:00 a.m. Please bring two forms of identification.
*** While cameras will not be permitted during the briefing, there will be one-on-one camera opportunities at the conclusion of the briefing.***
