The Catawba Nation of South Carolina will move forward with its lawsuit against the state since lawmakers failed to act on the tribe's bingo proposal.
The tribe sought state approval for a high-stakes bingo hall off the reservation. But the tribe says it will instead revive video gaming on the reservation.
Video gaming was outlawed in 2000 through a change in the state constitution. But the state attorney general and attorneys for the Legislature say the tribe has a solid case to restart video gaming.
