The city of Buffalo, New York, and business owners asked a state judge on Tuesday to stop the Seneca Nation from buying land for a suburban casino.
The city and the businesses want the tribe to build in downtown Buffalo. They say the tribe's compact with the site mandates a Buffalo location but the tribe, citing initial negative reaction, chose to build on 57 acres in a suburb.
A state Supreme Court judge will hear the dispute June 4.
