The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals wants the state of Kansas to respond to the Wyandotte Nation's casino raid case by Friday.
State officials raided the tribe's Class II casino in downtown Kansas City, citing violations of state law. But the tribe contends the state had no authority to enter the facility.
The land is held in trust for the tribe and the tribe exercises jurisdiction over it.
