The state police major who oversees Connecticut's casino unit is the target of an investigator over allegations that he gambles at a tribal casino while off-duty.
Maj. Frank Griffin adopted an order prohibiting officers in the casino unit from off-duty gambling. But attorneys who represent two men who accuse the unit of of unfair treatment say it is well known that he regularly spends time at Foxwoods Resort Casino and even spoke to others about his habit.
The Public Safety Commissioner has launched an inquiry.
