The Cayuga Nation wants to open a Class II gaming facility on ancestral land in New York, an attorney for the tribe said in court on Wednesday.
A federal judge heard arguments about the tribe's plans for a former auto parts store in the village of Union Springs. The village said the land where the store is located is not Indian Country.
After the hearing, the tribe's attorney told The Syracuse Post-Standard that the tribe will install 50 electronic bingo machines if given court approval.
