AUGUST 31, 2000 On Wednesday, the Census Bureau released its estimates on the Native American and Alaska Native population by state. The population estimates cover the period April 1, 1990, to July 1, 1999. The percentage estimates cover the period July 1, 1990, to July 1, 1999.
