The Department of the Interior released Volume 1 of the Federal Indian Boarding School Initiative Investigative Report on May 11, 2022.
The report provides the first accounting of the Federal Indian Boarding School Initiative that was announced by Secretary Deb Haaland on June 22, 2021. It was submitted to her by Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs Bryan Newland on April 1.
The main document consists of 102 pages. The PDF provided by Interior is rather large, at 29.6MB.
There are three appendices, labeled Appendix A, Appendix B and Appendix C.
