Human rights lawyer won't face terrorism charges

A federal judge in New York dismissed terrorism charges against Lynne Stewart, a human rights lawyer who has represented the Mohawk Warrior Society. U.S. District Judge John G. Koeltl said the charges against Stewart were unconstitutionally vague. She is accused of passing messages among Islamic terrorist groups. Other charges against her are still pending. The Mohawk Warrior Society is a group of Mohawks who have been accused of terror-like activities in Canada and on reservations in upstate New York. Another lawyer who worked for the group was indicted by Canada for conspiracy. Get the Story:
