About Us:
The TM Recovery Center will begin as a center for culturally based residential and outpatient treatment of substance use disorder and the nucleus of community recovery support for the Turtle Mountain Tribe. Through strategic phased growth and expansion, we will provide recovery residences, confidence course, outdoor classrooms, sweat lodges, and dance arena. The Center will eventually become a full-scale behavioral health care practice to also offer mental health services to the communities of the Turtle Mountain Reservation.

Role Description:
The role of the Turtle Mountain Recovery Center (TMRC) Director is to oversee all operations and staffing at the TMRC, including both residential and outpatient services. The Director reports to the TMRC Board and may also provide information about the center to the tribal council. The Board will provide direct oversight of the Director, including performance evaluations, salary adjustments, and hiring. The Director ensures that the TMRC fulfills and promotes the mission of the organization to provide comprehensive substance use treatment and support in celebration of recovery and healing in our community. They are dedicated to serving the Turtle Mountain Community. The Director promotes culturally responsive healing in every aspect of the TMRC. The director must have an entrepreneurial spirit and be ready to build programming from the ground up.

Job Duties:
The Director is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Center. In coordination with the business manager, the Director ensures that the Center is financially accountable to both the clients and the staff. The Director oversees the budget for the center, including revenue and all expenditures, and maintain all licensing and contracting requirements with the state of ND for operations and billing.

The Director is responsible for providing oversight for hiring, annual evaluations, and disciplinary action for TMRC staff. They ensure that the TMRC is providing quality care to the community efficiently and effectively. The Director will be aware of tribal policy and procedure and how they may impact the center. The Director complies with all TMRC policies and procedures and ensures that all employees are complying. If any changes are need to policy and procedures, the Director will take modification to the Board for their approval.

The Director provides the TMRC board with reports of TMRC operations at board meetings. The Board may change the items requested at any time; however, the report will generally include a financial briefing, staffing level, patient volumes in various programs, and plans for growth or sustainability.

· Knowledge of North Dakota healthcare regulation

· Knowledge of substance use treatment

· Ability to maintain any applicable licensure or certification

Required Education:

The Director will hold a master’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: management, business, finance, psychology, social work, counseling, or other medical degree.

Required Experience:

The Director will have a minimum of three years of experience as a manager or director in a healthcare setting. This includes outpatient health clinics, substance use treatment centers, and inpatient hospital units. The director must have experience managing a staff of at least 30 and a budget of at least two million dollars.
