Tribe Reports 17 New COVID-19 Cases from September 5th – September 13th
AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s COVID-19 Response Team reported 17 new positive cases of the coronavirus in the southern portion of Akwesasne between September 5th to September 13th. We are pleased to report that 13 positive cases have completed their 5-day isolation period however, four (4) active cases remain under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. The three (3) active cases involve friends and family over the age of 18 years, and 1 case within the 0 to 4 years of age. Please join in wishing them all safe recovery.
Individuals who test positive are asked to self-report positive results to St. Lawrence County Public Health at (315) 386-2325, or Franklin County Public Health at https://bit.ly/3njGiRa. Positive cases should provide notification to individuals who may have been potentially exposed
Health Services announced the launch of a new application to help community members navigate COVID-19 and to stay healthy. Developed with the assistance of the Communications Department, the “Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe” app can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play and includes a clinic directory, health videos, tribal news and events, employment opportunities, a quick link to the Tribal Members Portal, and other important information.

Akwesasne residents and employees can also schedule a FREE PCR or Rapid Molecular Test by contacting Mountain Medical at the following locations on Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.:

COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINIC — WEDNESDAYS:
The COVID-19 Vaccine is available for individuals ages 6-months and older during the Wednesday Walk-in Vaccine Clinic located at 404 State Route 37 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Individuals may also call to schedule an appointment by calling the tribal clinic at (518) 358-3142.
The 1st Booster is available for everyone ages 5 years and older, who have received their initial two-shot series of the COVID-19 Vaccine.
The 2nd Booster is currently available for individuals who are:
–Individuals 12 years or older, who are eligible to receive their 2nd Pfizer booster vaccine, and received their 1st Booster at least 4 months ago.
A Moderna Booster update vaccine will be available for those 12-years and older within the coming weeks.
If you are unsure when to receive the 2nd Booster or have any questions about the COVID-19 Vaccines, please reach out to your healthcare provider for answers.
COVID-19 HOME TEST KITS — EVERYDAY:
COVID-19 Home Test Kits are being distributed each day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the clinic’s front reception desk and security. Community members are asked to go inside the building to receive the Binax Home Test Kit. Please remember to not leave them inside unattended vehicles due to temperature and masks must be worn inside the clinic.
