Tribal EOC Reports 9 New COVID-19 Cases: 5 Total Active
AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center and Health Services reported nine (9) new positive cases of COVID-19 since February 24th.
Four (4) positive cases have completed their 5-day isolation period — leaving five (5) total active cases in Akwesasne’s southern portion. The active cases include two (2) young community members between the ages of 5 and 11-years old, while three (3) cases are individuals over the age of 18. We offer them our warmest thoughts and wishes for a safe and complication-free recovery.
COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINICS:
On Tuesdays, Health Services is conducting a Pediatric vaccine clinic for children between the ages of 5 and 11 years old. The Pediatric vaccine clinic will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at their main building located at 404 State Route 37.
Beginning on Wednesday, March 2nd; Health Service’s weekly vaccine clinic will be held at their main building. Individuals ages 12-years old or more can receive a COVID-19 vaccine between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. No appointment is needed.
On Fridays, individuals can receive a COVID-19 vaccination between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (by appointment only) at their main building.
COVID-19 TESTING CLINICS:
Health Services is conducting COVID-19 PCR testing on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (or while supplies last) at their main campus located at 404 State Route 37. Please use the road located across from the intersection of State Route 37 and McGee Road and follow the signs for clinic’s testing garage.
Akwesasne residents and employees can also schedule a FREE COVID-19 PCR or Rapid Molecular test by contacting Mountain Medical at the following locations on Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.:

COVID-19 HOME TEST KITS:
On Tuesdays, Health Services is distributing COVID-19 Home Test Kits at no cost from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (or while supplies last) at the clinic’s testing garage located at 404 State Route 37. Community members will receive either the BinaxNow COVID-19 Antigen Self Kit or the QuickVue At-Home OTC COVID-19 Test. Please use the gravel road across from McGee Road and follow the signs.
Individuals who test positive using a COVID-19 Home Test Kit are asked to self-report test results to St. Lawrence County Public Health at (315) 386-2325, SRMT Contact Tracers at (518) 333-0230, or Franklin County Public Health. An online form is available on the Franklin County website to self-report at https://bit.ly/3njGiRa. Positive cases are also being asked to please provide notification to individuals who may have been potentially exposed.
