“Through surveillance of COVID-19 test samples, the Navajo Department of Health reported that 921 Omicron cases are now confirmed on the Navajo Nation. On the upside, our high rate of COVID-19 vaccinations has helped our health care system to maintain services and the vaccines continue to save many lives. We cannot thank our frontline warriors enough for all they sacrifice and the lives they save. We can all do our part to help them and support them by getting the vaccine and booster shot, wearing two masks in public, and practicing the precautions that our public health experts put forth to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our homes, work places, and communities,” said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.

Health care facilities on the Navajo Nation continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines. If you would like to receive one of the COVID-19 vaccines, please contact your health care provider and schedule an appointment.

“Continue to pray and please meet your prayers half way by taking safety measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We are in this together. Our frontline workers are fighting for us each and every day, so let’s do our part to fight for them as well. Be safe, keep praying, and supporting one another,” said Vice President Myron Lizer.
