It is with great sadness that we announce one (1) additional recent death within the community due to the COVID-19 virus. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family members of this individual.
The individual chose not to be vaccinated. It is understandable that people make their own decisions when it comes to their own health, however, please know that if you choose to remain unvaccinated the possibility of severe sickness and even death remains a threat to you, your family, and our entire community. If you are still not vaccinated, please consider your family members, young and old, who will be impacted by your decision and all of our Pueblo members who value you.
The COVID-19 virus, along with the delta variant, remains very present within our State and in our community. Data continues to show that COVID-19 vaccinations along with continued use of your COVID-19 Safe Practices are proven effective methods in the fight against severe sickness, and even death from COVID-19 and variants. The more vaccinated individuals we have in the community the greater protection “Community Immunity” we offer to each other especially to our children who are still too young to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
Stay safe and contact the POL EOC at (505) 328-5682 on how you can get vaccinated.
