COVID-19 claims lives of 3 Tribal Members
The Northern Arapaho Business Council regrets to announce the passing of 3 Tribal Members who’d been sickened by COVID-19.
The three deaths, announced today by the Wyoming Department of Health, includes two adult females who had been hospitalized out of state and an elder male who was a resident of a long-term care facility in Riverton. The Tribe is not identifying the Members out of respect for their families’ privacy.
Chairman Lee Spoonhunter offered sincere condolences on behalf of the NABC. He urged the Arapaho people to be especially cautious to protect themselves and their loved ones from the virus as it is spreading widely throughout Wyoming and Fremont County.
“Three deaths is the most we’ve announced on any single day since the pandemic began,” Chairman Spoonhunter said. “May our Creator bring comfort and peace to the friends and family members left behind, and may all of us recommit ourselves to slowing the spread of this terrible virus.
“Please – wear a mask, avoid gatherings and remember you’re safer at home. The life you save could be your own or that of a loved one.”
