Help us celebrate Oklahoma City Indian Clinic Day
OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit clinic providing health and wellness services to American Indians in central Oklahoma, celebrates Oklahoma City Indian Clinic Day.
In 2009, Mayor Mick Cornett proclaimed August 19 as Oklahoma City Indian Clinic Day.
“Since 2009, on August 19 we have been excited to observe Oklahoma City Indian Clinic Day by celebrating providers, staff, leaders and patients,” Robyn Sunday-Allen said, OKCIC Chief Executive Officer.
In 1974, a group of volunteer Native physicians gathered and saw a need to improve the health of American Indians in Oklahoma City. Since then, OKCIC has grown to offer American Indians a variety of health and wellness services including medical, pediatrics, optometry, behavioral health, dental, physical therapy, and more.
Today, OKCIC serves over 20,000 American Indian patients from over 200 federally recognized tribes.
OKCIC has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Oklahoma nine times, is an AAAHC accredited Patient Centered Medical Home and Dental Home and was selected as an Oklahoma Quality Foundation’s Leadership in Excellence recipient, which is the highest quality award in Oklahoma. Additionally, OKCIC offers over 235 staff a generous benefits package and access to all of OKCIC’s services.
