With Republican Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota threatening legal action over coronavirus checkpoints on two reservations, Kevin Abourezk of Indianz.Com will be going live with Bryan Brewer, former president of Oglala Sioux Tribe.
Brewer was at one of the checkpoints on the Pine Ridge Reservation on the morning of May 10, 2020. Two days earlier, Noem told the Oglala Sioux Tribe, as well as the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, to take down their checkpoints within 48 hours.
Abourezk will be going live with Brewer on the Indianz.Com page on Facebook this afternoon.
