ICYMI: Kevin Abourezk of Indianz.Com interviewed Stacy Bohlen, Chief Executive Officer of the National Indian Health Board, and Aaron Payment, Chairperson of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, on the evening of April 2, 2020. They talked about Indian Country’s efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Myra Pickering, a council member for the Otoe-Missouria Tribe, also shared her story on the broadcast. She is at home in Oklahoma, recovering from a COVID-19 diagnosis. She was repeatedly denied coronavirus tests, despite showing strong symptoms.
