In a video message on March 24, 2020, Choctaw Nation Chief Gary Batton announced the closure of the tribe’s administrative offices to the public. The decision comes after the tribe already closed its casinos, wellness centers, community centers and Head Start sites in Oklahoma.

“We’ll reopen buildings and programs as soon as we can,” Batton said.
