FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OKLAHOMA INDIAN GAMING ASSOCIATION CHAIRMAN MATTHEW L. MORGAN RESPONDS TO ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM TRIBES EVALUATING, MODIFYING OR SUSPENDING CASINO OPERATIONS IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19

“The leadership of Oklahoma’s tribal gaming community remains in constant communication with local, state, and national officials and each other to monitor developments.

Each sovereign Tribal nation is actively engaged in evaluating and, where appropriate, activating Tribal response plans and adjusting operational practices, including increased sanitation and the possibility of suspending operations.

Public health is of utmost concern for all, as are the wellbeing and livelihoods of the thousands of Oklahomans employed by our industry.”
