Indian museum would benefit from budget

MARCH 1, 2001 Funding the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) was inceased by $30 million on Wednesday by the budget blueprint released by President George W. Bush. The total museum funding would be $206 million, or twice the original estimate, if the budget is approved. Construction on the new NMAI in Washington, DC, continues. The NMAI is part of the Smithsonian Institute, the largest complex of national museums in the world. Get the Bush Blueprint:
