Russell Means arrested again

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2001 Oglala Lakota activist / actor / author has been arrested. Again. For alleged domestic violence. Again. Means was picked up near his Santa Fe, New Mexico, home this past Wednesday after a domestic call. Sent home after paying a $500 bond that night, his wife, Pearl Means, a Navajo woman, has decided not to press charges. Means his running for governor in New Mexico as an independent after he and the Libertarian Party parted ways. Means was arrested on the Navajo Nation for alleged abuse of his father-in-law. At the time, he was married to another Navajo woman. He has since escaped punishment becase he says the Navajo tribe does not have jurisdiction over him. Get the Story:
