Representative Sam Gejdenson (D-Conn) is too busy to meet with three local towns to discuss their issues with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.

Gejdenson has met with the leaders of Ledyard, North Stonington, and Preston in the past however. But neither has been impressed with the way he's addressing their issues with the tribe.

In May, the town leaders hoped to meet with President Clinton to discuss their problems. But he was too busy to meet with them as well.

Gejdenson has proposed the towns mediate with the tribe. But the towns have so far resisted. They also want Gejdenson to "fix" the 1983 Mashantucket Pequot Settlement Act but Gejdenson said he won't change it.
