Yup'ik whaling captain found

THURSDAY, APRIL 18, 2002 Walter Toolie, a whaling captain from the Siberian Yup'ik village of Savoonga, was found alive on Wednesday. Toolie, 74, had been missing for two days due to a blizzard. Rescue workers found him on St. Lawrence Island, where he created a snow cave to survive the elements. He was treated for dehydration and released. Get the Story:
