Members of Camp Justice, an activist group based on the Oglala Lakota reservation at Pine Ridge, South Dakota, continue their protests against police inaction and alcoholism. The camp is located on the site where two Lakota men were found dead and near the town of Whiteclay, Nebraska, which serves, and some believe, exploits the Indian population through sales of alcohol.

Protests last year turned into confrontations between the police and Indian activists. Russell Means will stand trial on August 30 for crossing over a line of police officers last July during a protest march into Whiteclay.
