Editorial: Memorial to tribal warriors needed

JUNE 11, 2001 In an editorial, the Billings Gazette says Congress needs to fund a memorial dedicated to the Cheyenne, Sioux, Arapaho and other warriors who fought at the Battle of Little Bighorn. The paper says Congress authorized the memorial 10 years ago but has still yet to fund it. The paper says Montana's Senators need to ensure a funding bill that Conrad Burns (R) has introduced will pass. Get the Story:
