Navajo man aims for NASCAR

MONDAY, MARCH 18, 2002 Standford Benally has big dreams of opening a restaurant in Shiprock, New Mexico. But first he wants to be a NASCAR driver. But not before he tries to land a contract for his regional firewood business to help rebuild the Twin Towers area in New York City. He also has to finish his business degree at Dine College. Benally, 30, is working on getting corporate sponsors, too. He wants to be involved in Mothers Against Drunk Driving, or perhaps fathers against drunk driving. Get the Story:
