TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2002 A complaint from the Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association spurred a probe into the handling of a child molestation case on the remote St. George Island. According to the initial report, it took more than two weeks for law enforcement and social workers to respond. The molestation complaint came in late February but no one arrived to the island until March 14. Weather, a recant of the complaint and other problems hindered a quick response, the report says.
