Campbell gives man new flag

MONDAY, APRIL 1, 2002 Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo.) on Friday presented a Colorado man with a commemorative American flag after his original was stolen in an odd incident. On October 10, Jon Schuetz was at his Durango home when Christine Collins, atop a horse, was fleeing his property after having destroyed his flag. She was later sentenced to 45 days in jail, ordered to apologize and stay away from Schuetz. Campbell made the presentation at the local VFW. The post honored him with a plaque. Get the Story:
