THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2002 Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are ready to vote on a controversial nominee to the federal bench and the outlook doesn't look good. U.S. District Judge Charles Pickering of Missouri had to go before the committee twice to answer questions about his views and record. Several panel members are saying they won't vote for him.
