The Hart Senate Office Building is set to reopen tomorrow after tests on protective gear found last week in a hallway came up negative for anthrax.

The discovery of the equipment in the hallway outside the office of Majority Leader Sen. Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) prompted officials to delay the pending opening of the building. The building was closed in October after anthrax was discovered in Daschle's office suite.

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee and the offices of Sen. Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii), chairman of the committee, are in the building. According to figures released by Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), the Environmental Protection Agency has spent $14 million to clean up anthrax at the U.S. Capitol, most of it at the Hart building.
