The Dallas Morning News asked the candidates for governor of Texas questions about Indian gaming.

Incumbent GOP Rick Perry says gaming shouldn't be allowed period. In response to three casinos, his answer was a direct "No."

Democratic challenger Tony Sanchez was more accommodating. He said "Yes" to the question "Would you favor legislation allowing the state's three federally recognized Indian tribes to offer casino gambling on their reservations?"

He also said he would consider proposal for non-Indian gaming but didn't say he supported them.
