MONDAY, MARCH 25, 2002 Author and Congressional candidate Jeff Benedict is going to Maine to oppose a proposed tribal casino. Benedict says he is no opposing the right of the Penobscot Nation and the Passamaquoddy Tribe to open a casino. He only wants to ensure that local residents have a say in the process. The tribes are proposing to open a gaming facility in the southern port of Kittery. They are planning to push the casino next legislative session.
