Wyo. tribe seeking gaming expansion

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2002 A federal judge on Wednesday ordered the state of Wyoming to negotiate a gaming compact with the Northern Arapaho Tribe within 60 days. But U.S. District Judge Alan B. Johnson's order only applies to two types of Class III games: calcutta and pari-mutuel betting. The tribe, however, believes all casino-style games, such as slot machines and craps, should be allowed an might appeal the order. The state is opposing the expansion of gaming.
