Native corp sees first loss in years

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2002 NANA Regional Corp., an Alaska Native corporation, posted a $8.6 million lost in 2001 due to poor investments, low zinc prices and a rocky year on the stock market. The loss was the first the corporation has recorded since 1993, said president Marie Greene. Write-offs included a bankrupt grocery and a bakery. Get the Story:
