Group sues over N.Y. gaming

TUESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2002 A group of casino opponents has filed a lawsuit challenging the largest expansion of gaming in the state of New York. Gov. George Pataki (R) signed a legislative package last fall to stimulate the state's economy. Included is the authorization of six Indian casinos. The group, which includes two state lawmakers, says the expansion is unconstitutional. Get the Story:
