SEPTEMBER 15, 2000 Along with Governor Bill Graves, three Kansas tribes have filed a complaint with the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, stating that the Wyandotte Tribe is prohibited from opening a casino in downtown Kansas City. The Sac and Fox, the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska, and the Prairie Band of Potawatomi are opposing the Wyandotte's casino. They are appealing a federal court ruling which would allow the Wyandotte to proceed with casino development. Get the Story:
