New York Governor George Pataki (R) on Tuesday criticized the State Assembly for nor approving a casino deal with the Seneca Nation.

Pataki and the tribe had come to a 14-year agreement on as many as three casinos in western New York. But he needed authorization from the Legislature to finalize it.

Republicans in the Senate quickly approved the deal but Democrats in the Assembly have held it up.
