Native Corp. survives bankruptcy

MAY 30, 2001 Chugach Alaska Corp. appears to have survived its bankruptcy woes to emerge with revenues of $219 million, a 70 percent increase from 1999, said Chairwoman Sheri Buretta. The windfall means the board of directors will receive bonuses of around $10,000 each and 50 top managers will split between $1 million to $1.3 million dollars. Buretta said the company's successes -- attributed to government services contracting -- are a significant turnaround since the corporation filed for bankruptcy in June 2000. Get the Story:
